Blah, I think I was a bit too ambitious in choosing my classes this semester.  I feel wiped out and I haven’t even been studying as much as I’d need to in order to be doing well.  I’m just so tired.  I have to take two summer classes anyway, I’m wondering if I’d be better off dropping MAT421 and taking it in June instead.  I got so behind in it, and I’m worried that if I try to keep it I’ll end up failing multiple classes.  My parents will freak out if I tell them I’m dropping a class, but not as much as if I have to take an extra semester.  That wouldn’t be too bad, MAT421 in June, geology in July, and the internship/advanced math thingy over both.  I don’t know what to do.  Grr, running out of time.

We’re hosting a Mardi Gras party, yay!  We don’t have all the details set yet, but it’s going to be a lot of fun.  I’m going to have a bunch of beads to give out to anyone willing to flash me ;)  It’s going to be on February 28^th.  I know that’s technically after Mardi Gras, but there are too many other things going on this coming weekend.  Anyway, it’s going to be a lot of fun.  I’m sure I’ll write more about it later, but for now I hope everyone can make plans to come. 

Wow, it’s pouring outside!  I wish I wasn’t sick so I could go take a nice long walk…

WTF?!  So, one day last week I looked online for the number of the place I went to last year and called them.  The girl sounded like she didn’t know what she was doing, but made an appointment for today at 2:10.  They called me yesterday to confirm and get some insurance info they needed, so I assumed everything was ok.  So, I just tried to go to my appointment only to find that the office had moved from University and Rural to the Tempe Marketplace.  No biggie, but I drove around the whole shopping area several times unable to find it.  I looked through my phone history and found the number they had used to call me yesterday and called to ask where they were.  It turns out that number was for the location on University and Gilbert.  I think that’s kind of strange, but figure that maybe they have one location that does the insurance stuff, so look through my phone again for the number I had originally called.  It turns out that number is also now for the Gilbert location.  I think it’s strange that they apparently have two numbers, but wonder if I accidentally called the wrong place.  They checked though, and neither place has me scheduled for an appointment anytime this week.  This is rather annoying.  If I don't get an appointment sometime in the next week or two I'm going to have to go around in glasses. 

Yay, I have internet connection again!  I was going crazy not being able to get online; I felt so disconnected from everything.  I have internet again though! 

Oh, I’m such a nerd.  I’m sitting here in my work clothes just looking to waste 15 minutes or so before I have to leave.  I just happened to pull up the schedule to see if they’ve posted the new one yet, and discovered I mixed up the days again.  I actually have tonight off and work tomorrow.  I guess it’s better finding out now rather than after I got there, but still, this sucks.  Grr, I’m wearing clothes and stuff, I can’t just sit at home.  Hmm, where to go…

Homework problem #1…  For du/dt=f(u), prove that the backward Euler method is first-order accurate, using the definition of the local truncation error.  Be sure to calculate the constant multiplying delta t^p in the global error. 

I really probably should have started this earlier.  This sucks.
